    Things To Do

    Things To Do

The city of meerut proudly carries the honour of being the first region to become headache for the British rule causing the First Freedom Movement in 1857, which was spread all over the country before being ruthlessly subdued by the English.

A great number of people visit the city for its monuments. Taj Mahal is prime attraction in Agra. The mausoleum is an amusement to all. So the first thing you should look in Agra is, without doubts, the Taj Mahal. Besides Taj Mahal there are many places you can visit in Agra. The forts and gardens built by great Mughal rulers are awe inspiring and worth visiting. Forts and tombs like Agra Fort, Sikandra Fort, Chini-Ka-Roza are some preferred places. Jama Masjid, which is still in use offers a good opportunity for muslim tourists. There is this ancient city of Fatehpur Sikri which unveils the shrouds on Indian history.

The city of Agra is provided with the best hotels in India. Comfort and pleasure depend only on how much you are spending. There is an entire range of hotels for a luxurious stay to comfortable less budgeted time out.

The mughlai cuisine should not be missed out once you are in Agra. The cuisine are served by most of the restaurants. While we are talking about food and dishes you should remember to taste the famous 'Petha' of Agra.

If you happen to reach Agra between 18th and 27th Feb. you can have a great time in the celebrations of Taj Mahotsav in Agra.

For shopping you can have some exquisite handicrafts from various markets in Agra. Check out for government emporia that sell artifacts at genuine prices. Make sure to checkout the collection at Sadar Bazar, Kinari Bazar and Munro Road..
